Municipal Design and Environmental Services has provided the City of Oregon engineering services and water/wastewater operations service since 2007. MDES has been contracted by the City of Oregon Water and Wastewater Department to provide management services and personnel to operate the Oregon WWTP facility. Oregon for the first time has a workable budget and business plan, maintenance of our system is current and regulated, and many services that in the past that were contracted are now handled by MDES employees. The City of Oregon wastewater department is now undergoing a $5.6 million dollar WWTP upgrade and MDES employees have a valuable part in the success of the project. Management and the employees of MDES at the Oregon Water and Wastewater Department are accommodating, courteous and professional in dealing with the city and city constituents, and employees are knowledgeable about procedures and the values important to the City of Oregon. As Commissioner of Public Property for the City of Oregon. I consider MDES involvement in our operation a complete success.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with the staff of MDES for several years and have been involved with them in every kind of project imaginable. MDES has a knack for interacting with elected officials and the public to make sure everyone understands the project and is satisfied with the end results. They are cost conscious in allowing for several options when designing and bidding projects. I can speak for the Mayor and City Council when I say we are extremely pleased to have them represent our community and would recommend them to any developer or municipality looking for professional engineering services.
