History

In June of 2007, Municipal Design and Environmental Services, Inc., or MDES, Inc. for short, was founded to provide high-quality civil engineering and utility management services to local municipalities and other communities in Northern Illinois. Since then, MDES, Inc. has grown, adding staff to provide services for an expanding client base that includes both the public and now private sector.

Gene Stoll is the owner/founder/company president of MDES, Inc., having better than thirty (30) years of experience in municipal and private development projects. MDES, Inc. has been contracted in several local communities for exclusive municipal engineering services, as well as some larger communities and privately held companies on a project by project basis.
